Why is this program important and needed?

There is a notable increase in businesses looking to achieve sustainability, equity, and other social impact targets who face barriers along the ‘first mile’ and ‘last mile.’ Social enterprises have the innovative solutions to overcome these challenges, but often lack the ongoing education and support to build cross-sector partnerships after graduating from accelerator programs. From executives to front-line employees, workers are looking to make more of an impact in their roles.

In tandem, we know that many accelerators are investing in redundant efforts and costs to create ongoing education and support models for their social enterprises. By designing around what is best for social enterprises – ongoing and on-demand support to help them generate revenues – we can partner with accelerators and other support organizations to help social enterprises build the skills, know-how, and networks needed to plug into global value chains.
