At MovingWorlds, the health and safety of our members is our top priority, and we will continue to follow the COVID-19 pandemic closely. In addition to our own resources and processes, we also partner with global brands, like Microsoft, to provide travel policy guidance in situations like this.
As of March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization officially labeled COVID-19 (also known as Coronavirus) as a pandemic. New guidance is issued almost daily, and Johns Hopkins University and Tableau have robust data hubs showing trends and essential information.
MovingWorlds will follow recommendations issued by the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) when making decisions to continue, suspend, and/or cancel any of its events and programs. In addition, we recommend you consult your country of residence's health alerts, warnings, and travel restrictions when making your decision.
As new information emerges, we will send updates to members of all our programs with guidance on next steps. So far, we have supported members to change their project dates, travel schedules, transition to virtual project execution, and more to help ensure that our community can take care of their health, while still benefiting from our programs and resources. All of our programs can still be supported virtually or delayed to future dates.
Currently, all MovingWorlds programs (Experteering, Institute, Corporate, and Capacity-Building) are continuing, though some will be shifting virtually as the need arises. Communication will be shared with members of affected programs as soon as available.
