Note: As of 2023, the MovingWorlds Institute is on pause as we redesign it for a post-COVID era — making it more accessible, scalable, and connected to the broader impact ecosystem via our TRANSFORM Support Hub. No new cohorts will launch in 2023.
The MWI is designed to fit around a full-time job, and the majority of participants are fully employed while completing the program. On average, you can expect 3-5 hours per week for reading, networking and reflection. If you’re in transition or working part-time, the program work can be increased to fill more time if you have it, which we customize for every individual.
Every month, you'll have another few hours of calls: a webinar with industry leaders, networking calls, and cohort calls.
There is a bigger time commitment during the first month of the program because of the interactive training and cohort building session. Over the course of your kickoff weekend, you can expect to dedicate about 14 hours.
At the end of the Fellowship, you can expect to dedicate an additional 6-8 hours of virtual work for the end-of-program capstone activities.
The time required for your capstone social impact project depends on a number of factors, including whether you’ll be completing the project virtually, locally, or abroad, and the scope of your project. Our Matching Team will ensure that you find a project match tailored to your schedule and preferences.
You can find a more detailed breakdown of program elements on this page.
