Is it OK if I charge Experteers for supporting us?

Our concept is based on organizations not charging for receiving an Experteer. While charging is common for ‘voluntourism’ projects, our platform does not allow pay-to-volunteer opportunities.This is because we place professionals in specific skills-based projects, they normally are fully immersed (working full time) and our idea is that the value of their work outweighs a program fee. MovingWorlds only supports this kind of Experteering rather then Voluntourism, and there is a clear difference between the two.

Moreover, we stress that every Experteering opportunity should provide some attractive local benefits, such as free accommodation and food, a travel stipend, language and/or cooking lessons, use of amenities… just to name a few.
