Auto-matching is a feature of the MovingWorlds platform that launched in the fall of 2020. With our skills-matching algorithm, we can match participant’s skills with a project’s skills requirements automatically, and alert both participants and organizations of a potential skills-match. This will reduce the amount of time it takes for participants to match to a project.
Here’s what you can expect with auto-matching:
- You may receive a notification in your MovingWorlds inbox alerting you that you have been auto-introduced to a project matching your skills.
- You do have the option of reviewing the project and withdrawing the introduction request, if you don’t think it’s the right project for you.
- If you think the project could be a good fit and you’d like to learn more, you will wait for the organization to review the introduction request and start the next steps of the introduction process.
For PayPal NEP participants, auto-matching is turned on automatically once you complete your Experteering Profile. It is a mandatory feature of the PayPal NEP and cannot be turned off by changing your search status. You can control the auto-matching feature by reviewing auto-introduction requests as they are sent on your behalf, and withdrawing introduction requests if you don’t think it’s the right project for you. If you have any questions, please email match@movingworlds.org.
